Saturday Savings

Fairly light shopping day today! Later on today I'll hit up Aldi for milk, produce and eggs which will add about $15 to my total for the week. Everything you see below cost $24.77!

(No comments from the peanut gallery about the half empty Diet Coke! :-p)

HyVee:
HyVee Orange Juice - 2 half gallons
HyVee Unsalted Butter - 3 boxes
Yoplait Fiber One Yogurt - 4 boxes
Deli Ham - 1.5 pounds
Healthy Choice Soup - 2 cans
HyVee Honey Wheat Pretzel Twists
HyVee Pretzels
HyVee Oyster Crackers - 2 bags
Ragu Pasta Sauce - 2 jars
Grimmway Carrots - 2 bags (1 pound each)

Price Chopper:
Diet Coke - 20oz bottle
Stride Gum - 1 pack
Frozen Veggies - 4 bags
Sun Crystals Sweetener - 50ct box
Keebler Crackers - 2 boxes
Peter Pan Peanut Butter
Purex Laundry Detergent

The Deals: At HyVee this week I took advantage of some rain checks from a few weeks ago (Ragu and Oyster Crackers) as well as the $6 off coupon I earned last week. Notable deals at HyVee included: carrots for .49 (62% off) , Healthy Choice soup for .81 (59% off), Yoplait Fiber Yogurt .65 (76% off) and HyVee OJ for .99 each (50% off). At HyVee alone I saved 64%!

Price Chopper had a few nice deals this week too, including: peanut butter for .99 (57% off), Sun Crystals Sweeteners for .50 (85% off), Keebler Snack Crackers for .99 (71% off), Purex Laundry Detergent for $1.65 (64% off) and frozen veggies for .49 a bag (68% off). The veggies and peanut butter were both limited and I may try to swing by Price Chopper again today in order to buy another round.

Total Before Sales, Coupons and Tax: $64.35

Total After Sales and Coupons:  $23.59 - 63% off!

Now a special note to my KC friends - If you have not yet visited the Hen House Holiday Celebration at the Overland Park Convention Center, plan to get there today or tomorrow! Chase and I visited yesterday morning and had a ball. Chase especially loved all the treats he got to eat (cookies, ice cream, Chex Mix, apple juice, some bread, some cheese and chocolate milk just to name a few)! Bring your Hen House card and have over $500 in coupon savings added to your card - word from Kelly at Kansas City Mamas is that these clip-free coupons are like store coupons, which means you can stack it with a manufacturers coupon! Watch those Hen House fliers over the next two months and you could walk out of Hen House with lots of free or nearly free items if you play your cards, I mean coupons, right! More info about the event can be found HERE. Seriously, get there! Check out the freebies I came home with yesterday...

The Hen House event was SO worth it - I wish I would have gone hungrier because there was so much to eat. It was definitely worth the $5.00 admission. Nice seeing you there!
