Consignment Sale Giveaway Winner

Good morning!

I just had the computer at Random.org pick our winner (the boys are too busy eating waffles to bother with drawing a name for me), and the winner is....

Emily @ Little Home!

Congratulations, Emily! Get in touch with me via e-mail at threetimesthegiggles (at) gmail (dot) com, by Wednesday night to claim your prize.

I'll be back this afternoon with that all-important ultrasound update!

Winner & Food for Thought

My best laid plans rarely seem to work out.... Anyone else like that? Example: instead of saving up big bucks this month and next for a van, we shelled out $1,400 yesterday for repairs the Neon needed. Ouch. Example number 2: I planned on ending the giveaway at 6pm yesterday so that I could write everyone's name on slips of paper and have the boys draw a winner last night. Instead we took a picnic dinner to the park and didn't get home until the boys' bed time. Whoops!

So I had to rely on good old Random.org to pick my winner.... (drumroll please)

Brossettelewis, who takes care of herself by bathing daily, is our big winner!

Shoot me an e-mail lady and I'll get you all hooked up :)

I find it appropriate that Brossettelewis won as I was going to refer to her blog this morning anyway! You see, she had twins who had TTTS (Twin to Twin Transfusion syndrome), which is a very dangerous condition. Obviously she has become a big supporter of the March of Dimes as well. Check out her recent March for Babies post HERE.

Here's something for you to think about...

Even if you weren't a preemie, you and your children have benefited from the March of Dimes.

The MOD first goal was to beat Polio, and it was successful.
The APGAR scoring system for infants became standard practice around the world thanks to Dr. Virginia Apgar's work with the March of Dimes.
The MOD funded the very first bone marrow transplant to correct a birth defect (1968)
MOD discovers that alcohol consumption during pregnancy causes birth defects (1973)
MOD funds first in utero treatment of a birth defect (1973)
MOD launched the national campaign urging women to take Folic Acid during pregnancy (1995)
MOD led the effort to have newborn screening (heel prick) for at least 21 of 29 life threatening, but treatable disorders.

Today I made the decision to lower my March for Babies goal. I thought for sure I could hit $1,000 but here we are a week and a half from the walk and I'm not even half way there. So now my goal is $500. I KNOW you all can get me that far at least! Team Three Cuties is rocking the donations this year - we're up to 13 walkers now and have raised $1,155 as a group. Woohoo!

Donate here, please.

Winners!

I had the fullest of intentions of writing all the entries on little slips of paper and having the boys draw the winners yesterday. However, I was distracted by the sight of Peeps and Reese's Eggs, so instead this morning I used the random number generator at Random.org to select the winner.

Winner of the Pull Ups - Comment #14 The Lane Family

Winner of treats from my Etsy Shop - Comment #56 Renee and Agua Family

Congrats ladies! Just send me an e-mail to threetimesthegiggles (at) gmail.com and we'll coordinate getting prizes to you! If I don't hear from you by Wednesday night I will pick an alternate winner.

Tomorrow I'll show you some pictures from Easter! I may have to do some head swapping in some group pictures... wouldn't it figure in the one picture where all three boys are looking at the camera my husband decided to cross his eyes? Here's a little picture to hold you over until tomorrow though...

Jackson

For now, I wanted to comment on some of the potty training questions that we asked in the Pull Ups giveaway!

1. What do you think is better: a potty chair or a potty ring that goes on the seat? Nick and I opted for the toilet ring, simply for selfish reasons... We didn't want to be emptying a potty chair (or 3) 100 times a day! The ring worked great at first but then I started having the boys sit backwards on the toilet (no ring) once in a while so that we'd have a way to use public bathrooms with them feeling comfortable. Before we knew it, the boys all preferred just sitting backwards!

2. In hind's sight, would I potty train the boys all at once or one at a time? Definitely one at a time! It was stressful enough watching one child for signs of an impending accident that I can't imagine trying to watch 3 at a time! Staggering them a week apart really was the best move for our family.

3. What are the signs of readiness? Are we talking in our children or the parents? ;) In all seriousness though, I've seen long lists of signs of readiness and if I waited until my kids showed each and every one of those I probably wouldn't have tried to PT the boys until they were 4! Here's what we looked for in the boys: telling us when they needed their diaper changed, increased curiosity of when Nick or I were going to the bathroom, ability to wake up dry from a nap and asking to sit on the potty. Chase exhibited those items most often so we chose him to go first, then the peer pressure took over for the other two!

4. On whether or not to wait to PT after a week long vacation next month or just do it now if he's ready... I say now! If he's ready and excited about it the process should go fairly quickly and I'm willing to be he'll have a pretty good handle on it by next month.

Now, as for the regression question I have no clue because we haven't gone through that. Questions like that and other questions you may have about PTing can be asked on the Pull Ups fan page on Facebook! Each week they have a Potty Training Expert look through the questions posted on the wall and they answer them. To join the Huggies Pull Ups Fan Page, click HERE!

Picnic Cooler Winner!

I just had Chase draw our winning name!

Congrats Momma-of-5! E-mail me with your mailing address and we'll get it shipped right out to you so that you can start in on those fun family picnics!

No Saturday Savings post today - I've been having so much fun with my friends this weekend that I haven't even had the chance to look at the fliers, let alone shop!

Winner and Changes

This morning this tired mama slept in. I only intended to sleep until 8ish because we have some fun planned for this morning. Imagine my surprise when I suddenly woke up at 8:45! Whoops! And truth be told, if I hadn't had somewhere to be later this morning I totally would have rolled back over and fallen asleep again probably.

So anyway, all that being said I depended on Random.org to draw the winner for this contest. In my attempt to print the screen so that you all would see this was on the up and up, I messed something up and lost the screen that had what number was drawn. You all will just have to trust me this wasn't rigged... The winner was commenter #8.

I've decided it's time for a change on this blog. Nothing massive really, but the pictures in the header are out of date by 8 months and I'm feeling like my blog is getting cluttered. I've got Hilary at ScrapBlog Designs working on changing out my pictures and changing some formatting around on the blog to clean things up. I'm excited about this little changes! Look for them early next week! For now, I'll give you a sneak peak at the pictures going into the heading and also some other adorable shots I got of the boys the other day.

Chase
And now for a few other cute shots I got, including probably my favorite picture so far of 2010!

I would just love to get a huge blow up of this shot and hang it on my wall, but I think Chase and Jackson would be sad they weren't up there too!

Winner of Etsy giveaway

I had Tyler help me out last night in the drawing of the name for our giveaway from the Etsy Shop Little Happys. He also decided to pull our back up winner should our first pick not get in touch with me within 48 hours.

Congrats to Jen at What Really Matters! You have until 9am on Wednesday to claim your prize, or I will award it to Ann & Peter (the second name Tyler drew). E-mail me at threetimesthegiggles@gmail.com!

Are you terribly sad that you didn't win? See something in the Little Happys shop that you just have to have? Stephanie has generously agreed to give my readers a 10% discount between now and March 15th. All you have to do is enter the word "GIGGLES" in the message to seller section and Stephanie will refund you the 10% via PayPal.

I have one more giveaway to offer you this month! This one will be the perfect gift for the elementary age girl in your life. Watch for the post later this morning!

EcoSMART Winner!

I know normally I have some fun with announcing these winners by letting the boys pick the name out of a bowl, but we've had a rough weekend of illness (including me) and will be heading to the doctor in a little bit. In light of that bit of family fun, I opted to just have the random number generator at Random.org give me a winner!

Congrats to Jill, commenter #2! You have 48 hours to get in touch with me at threetimesthegiggles@gmail.com or I'll pick an alternate winner.

Chaos and WaterWeek Winner!

I had Jackson help me draw our winner for the WaterWeek giveaway! As you can see, he wanted to keep the info to himself...

Congrats Erin! Send your name and address to threetimesthegiggles@gmail.com by Monday at 9pm CST or I'll have to draw an alternate winner.

~~~~~~~~~~~~
This past week the boys and I attended a fun little Halloween party. Really it was more of a giant, chaotic playdate with some eyeballs on sticks for a snack. What? You don't believe me when I say it was chaotic?
Told ya! The party consisted of 4 sets of triplets, a set of quintuplets and 4 single siblings. I think the oldest kids there were 5. Chaos! The boys had so much fun though.
Our attempt at a group picture was a tough one...
Best part about the party? The boys took 3.5 hour long naps that afternoon! Woohoo!
Speaking of Change...
First on the agenda today - one of my PJ winners still hasn't contacted me, so I was forced to have Tyler draw an alternate winner!
Amy, you have until noon tomorrow (Friday) to contact me at threetimesthegiggles@gmail.com. I'll need your address and what size jammies you would like sent (they come in S-XL)to you. So glad to see a fellow mom of triplets win a pair!
Ok, on to regularly scheduled blogging...
Last night Nick came home from church with birthday gifts for the boys. Yes, their birthday was 6 weeks ago so yes, these gifts are a tad bit late. You know what though? They won't be the latest birthday gifts they'll receive... Anyway, these gifts were from one of the girls in a high school girls small group I led for several years (I don't any longer because my girls all headed to college this fall). One of the gifts was a View Finder.
Remember View Finders?
My how the View Finder has changed....
Look at that thing! It covers Tyler's whole head! Not only is this View Finder a 3D View Finder (yes, the old ones claimed to be 3D too - but after looking through this new one I'd say the 80's model didn't really do 3D justice), but it also talks.Yep. It gives a little educational fact about each animal being viewed.
The boys have loved playing with it this morning. We had some minor fights over who's turn it was until I gave our microwave timer control over "turns". Then they all sat patiently around the table waiting for their turn (they swapped every 3 minutes).
PJ Winners!
What a great giveaway this was! It was fun to read about all the ratty clothes you all have. I think it's safe to say we all need to go shopping ASAP.
I had my little helpers draw the winning names this morning. As you'll see, we had some suspense with the 3rd winner.
Amazingly enough, I didn't have any duplicate entries as far as user names go, so whatever name you see if that's your user name on blogger, than you are the winner!
Congratulations Bev, Kristin and Krista!
Bev said her favorite way to relax is to grab a good book or movie, put on her jammies, grab a warm throw and relax on the couch. Bev, I'm sure you'll love relaxing in your new jammies!
Kristin, I'm so glad we'll be replacing those 8 year old ratty PJs with some nice new ones!
Krista, let's toss that 11 year old, ratty, gray shirt that has buttons and strings missing! You've got new jammies now!
To continue the excitement - Bev, Kristin and Krista the first one to e-mail me at threetimesthegiggles@gmail.com and claim your prize will also win the pink chenille socks! You all have until Thursday morning to get in touch with me before I pick an alternate winner.
The Winner Is...
First, a big thank you to those of you who left sympathetic comments on yesterday's post. I did snag a short nap in the afternoon and we all slept GREAT last night! Whew! Grocery shopping has officially been postponed to tomorrow in order to take advantage of Columbus Day deals. Saturday Savings will be posted Monday afternoon :)
Now for the part I know you're all waiting for.... the winner of the You Can Make This e-book bundle is....
Congratulations Kim! You have until Tuesday morning to contact me at threetimesthegiggles@gmail.com, otherwise I'll have Chase pick an alternate winner.
Don't forget too, there's still time to enter my Karen Neuburger PJ giveaway! Click HERE for that!
