The boys' are talking all. the. time. right now. Seriously. All the time. They're trying out new words and repeating everything. I've contemplated calling them The Parrots from now on instead of The Monkeys. Here are a few of the funny things they've said in the last week or so (at least the funny things I remembered to write down).
Jackson, while rubbing Pop Pop's head - "Fuzzy head! Fuzzy head!"
Jackson, to Nick when he put a towel around his waist - "Daddy, you look cute!"
Chase to Nick - "Mommy has a hard time parking now." (Little punk ratted me out!)
I said to Nick that I love it when Chase raises his eye brows, so Chase raised his eye brows several times for me.
Tyler - "Daddy lawning the mow!"
Any of the boys - "Mommy, I be a good boy and stay in bed." Said, of course, when the exact opposite had happened.

Embarrassing Moment #1
I would like the record to show that I love how chatty the boys have become. It's fun to hear them point things out, ask questions, chatter with each other and repeat each other. That being said, the chattiness resulted in embarrassing moment number 1 for this mom on Saturday. I say "number 1" because I'm sure there will be many, many more to follow in the next few years alone.
Saturday morning I decided to take Chase grocery shopping with me. It had been months since I'd taken one of the boys with me, and last time they were content to just sit in the cart in silence and look around the store. This time was vastly different. Chase was chatting the whole time in the car, and then excitedly pointing things out in the stores. It was fun interacting with him... until we got to Aldi.

Video Clip of the Week - Talking Time
Let the record show, the boys are 21 months old today! Wow! Where is the time going?! It's hard to believe my little "babies" will be 2 in just 3 short months. I don't think I'm ready for that!
Three months ago at the boys' 18 month appointment I was slightly concerned with the lack of talking the boys did. They each only knew a very small handful of words. The doctor assured me that it was totally fine and that if they weren't talking up a storm by age 2 to be worried. I don't think I'll have to worry.
In the last month the boys' language skills have just exploded including some two word sentences! (New Day, Green Car, More Please, Eat Outside, etc) I caught a few of the boys cute new words and moments on film over the weekend for your general amusement.
What was that last one you ask? Why it was Jackson saying "dot com" along with the Baby Einstein voice! All three of them chime in with "dot com" at the end of each Signing Time DVD and now with Baby Einstein. What will we ever do with these digital age kids?
