Ok, so the title of this post is a bit misleading. After all, we officially started PTing the boys back in early spring. However, that was more of a casual "Get To Know You" for the boys and the toilet. Sunday we're starting for real (or hard core as I've told some). My biggest motivation? The $100 a month we spend on diapers and wipes.
Chase seems like he'll be easiest to train (he's actually peed on the toilet a few times and he wakes up in the morning not nearly as wet as his brothers usually), so he'll be my first victim, er candidate. This morning I took the little man to Kohls to pick out some big boy underwear!
A couple of times he reached for Disney princesses - good thing Nick wasn't there to see that! He finally decided though on Mickey Mouse (which leaves Elmo, Disney, Cars and Thomas for Jackson and Ty to pick from in the coming weeks).
This one just makes me laugh!
He looked at them the whole way home.
Sunday morning Chase will say "bye-bye" to diapers and we'll never look back. Hopefully. That's how we got rid of bottles (cold turkey) and it worked like a charm. I'll be following a plan/tips laid out in an e-book I have, but more about that Monday when I let you all know how day (and night) 1 went!

Best of luck!! Those pics are too cute! Especially the one that made you laugh :)
I love the pictures! They make me want to go home from work and hug my little boy (I don't know why!) - he did that too with the undies, staring at them on the way home.
Hope the other 2 follow after Chase easily:)
Is there an old post about the bottles? I need help getting my little guy to take his sippy cup and want to give up the bottle by Oct.
Potty training is a ways away.
I want to get started with Emma too. I can't wait to buy those princess underpants! Can't wait to hear how it went over the weekend!
Momma Z, I just looked back at my old website to see if I blogged about our bottle to sippy transition and it appears I did not (which shocks me)! Here are the basics though....
We started giving the boys sippy cups of water very early on (with meals). They never had formula in the sippies - that was strictly given in bottles. I'm not sure if that helped our cause at all or not, I just figured that if we dropped formula and bottles at the same time it might make things easier. The day we got the ok to switch to milk (2 days after their 1st birthday) we bought milk, poured some in their sippies and gave it to them. They loved it, but we were worried about the bed time bottle. There was never a battle though and we never used a bottle again!
Good luck! I can't imagine trying to potty train triplets. I had a hard enough time with 1 boy. =)
Are you going without diapers at night too? I seem to recall the night time dryness coming much later than daytime toilet training. We left diapers on at night until they were dry most nights. With at least one of you for a while we had to get you up to use the toilet just before we went to bed. Sometimes the kid never really woke up.
Good Luck! Can't wait to hear how it goes!
