Therapy

What is it about holding a baby or having a child snuggle up to you that is so therapeutic? Sunday afternoon the boys and I visited some friends who had their second child a couple of months ago. Holding that sweet little baby girl was such a stress reliever!

Yesterday, a couple of times, Tyler came up to me, crawled into my lap and just snuggled in. That very act made me sigh with relief and it was like all the moments of stress, annoyance and anger just disappeared. How does that work? I'm not entirely sure, but I hope my kids continue to want to climb into my lap and just sit and snuggle because it's an amazing thing.

M's thirteen and he'll still hug me every morning before school. Don't know how much longer it'll last, but I'll take it!

Aren't baby girls the best thing EVER?!? :)

I still feel that way when my grown up kids lean on me or want a hug.

We have a Pastor's Wives retreat every year, and most of the time there's at least two babies. We call them "Therapy Babies" and they get passed around to everyone. A baby's love is so unconditional--it's such a wonderful thing to be included.
