Dear Chase

Dear Chase,

It is absolutely amazing to me how much you've grown and changed in just two short years. It feels like only yesterday I was holding your tiny body in my arms, trying to coax a smile out of you. Now I almost never have to work to get a smile out of you!

Not only do I love your precious smile and the tiny little dimple you get by your mouth when your smile is extra big, but I love the way you always ask for kisses and hugs. There is nothing more precious to me than to have you walk up to me and say "mama, kiss" and then make me bend down so you can kiss me on my nose or forehead. It's equally precious when I see you do the same to your dad or your brothers. Moments like those make me wish I had a camera built into my mind so that I could print out these pictures to study over and over again.

As hard as it is for me to see you growing into a little boy, I love it when you walk up to me, tell me you need to use the potty and then hold my hand for the walk to the bathroom. There's just something so special about holding a child's hand!

The little things you say crack your dad and me up on a daily basis. It amuses us to no end that instead of replying with a "yes" you always just reply with "ok". Chase, are you all done? "Ok.". Chase, do you want to go for a walk? "Ok." Chase, do you want to use the potty? "Ok." It's even funnier that you've now passed this on to Jackson and Tyler!

Just keep being the sweet little boy you are. Keep asking for kisses and hugs. Keep holding my hand.

I love you!
Mommy
