In the last 2 months I've mopped up more pee off the floor (both carpet and tile) than I care to count or even acknowledge. Let's just put it this way - potty training 3 is rough on carpet! I feel like my house must perpetually smell like urine, which is why I'm currently arranging to have a cleaning company come deep clean our carpets. Sorry, I'm getting off track here!
Early last week we had a horrendous 45 minutes here... I'll spare you some of the details because quite honestly they may cause you to lose your mid-morning snack (or lunch or dinner depending on when you read my blog). Basically though it all started with Tyler making the biggest mess on the carpet that I've seen yet and then that mess getting spread by Jackson. After I finished cleaning Tyler up I went into their bedroom and shut the door in hopes of cleaning the carpet before "stuff" set in.
While I was in the bedroom Chase had to pee, except he didn't bang on the door or even yell to me that he had to go potty... no. He peed on the floor (carpet again) right in front of the door. I whisked him to the other bathroom (bathroom #1 was still out of commission following Tyler's mess) to clean him up.
When Chase and I rounded the corner into the living room we found this...

At least there is a silver lining. If the mess you're eluding to starts with P and ends in "oop", I have to say that I've btdt TWICE with my oldest(incidents were about 2 weeks apart). He was about 2.5, supposedly napping and bored. All over the walls and everything! It wasn't even close to funny at the time, but we at least can smile about it now, over a decade later! Hang in there!
Let's just say it was in the poop family and leave it at that ;) LOL!
It's these moments that make it all worth it!
Our 3 year old is being potty trained and I so know where you are coming from and cannot imagine have 3 at the same time and trying to keep up with all of the messes. (I have twin girls also so I will get two at once :)) Anyway thank heavens for the little bright moments or we would probably all go crazy :)
I still love this story!! You'll really love this after PT is a distant memory :)
How helpful of them! ;) LOL
my triplet boys are 7 months old and i am just dying to get past the spitup ALL OVER...and this is what i get to look forward to. if it's not one bodily fluid, it's another! thanks for the laughs! :)
Whoa! I thought housebreaking my dog was bad on the carpet! I couldn't imagine three little boys' pee all over the place. You need someone to buy you a maid/carpet cleaning/sanitizing lady gift card for this Christmas! I haven't even started thinking about potty-training my son yet, and don't really want to deal with the poopy-pee-y-ness until I absolutely have to, but THREE at one time! Oy. I feel for you. I think that if it were possible, if it were me with three boys, I'd do it one by one, but I know that's crazy too. Good luck with all that! Again, I only have one, I look forward to seeing what other super-fun(ny) endeavors you get into with mineX3!!
