Multiples and More Question of the Week

Every once in a while (usually when I have time) I like to answer the Question of the Week over at Multiples and More. This week's question is what was your favorite children's book. Tough one!

Growing up I loved to read. I think I got it from my mom. I remember watching her get sucked into a book and hear that she'd be up half the night because she couldn't put it down, and I'm the same way now! Boy if I had $10 for every Karen Kingsbury book that I finished off in 24 hours or less I'd have enough for a massage. Enough about that, this is supposed to be what I read and loved as a kid!

I know as a young child I loved the Dr. Seuss book Hop on Pop. I'm not sure why I loved that one so much, but I vividly remember reading it over and over. As I got a little older any American Girl book became my favorite. This was before there were dolls to match the books even! I loved those stories and I think my mom loved that they taught me a little something about what life was like in different eras. Too bad I won't be able to pass my love for those books on to the boys... I suspect Nick would have a fit ;)

I LOVE Karen Kingsbury! She's an excellent author. I am NOT a morning person. However, I find myself waking up early just so I can read the next chapter or two before I have to get out of bed! I find myself crying through the sad parts, I just get so involved with the characters! I just finished one last Sunday, finished another one yesterday and have two waiting for me at the library! :D

I was an American Girl addict! I read and re-read all of those books. Samantha was always my favorite though.
