Color the Paper, Not Your Face

The boys have a new found love of coloring. Jackson especially is a fan as he will often yell "cahlah" (ahh my little Mainer!) whenever he sees pens, pencils, crayons or blank sheets of paper. Not only do they love to color, they love to taste the crayons. *sigh* When does that stop? I feel like I'm constantly telling them to stop coloring their faces or to stop eating the crayons...

Exhibit A would be Tyler...

This is a classic Tyler look. He's forever putting that lower lip out, which we find absolutely adorable!

Just the title of this post made me LOL without seeing the adorable pictures!

When does it stop, you ask? Hard to say...the coloring of the face thing should stop soon, but Caleb still gets marker on his hands and he's 7. :)

My girls are still eating crayons. We have adult toothbrushes set aside for them that we give them afterwards to "brush" their teeth. They mostly chew on the toothbrushes instead of brushing but it gets the crayon out of their molars.

Heck, crayon? That's nothing. We went to the creative time at the library this week, and Emma decided to taste the blue acrylic paint! I'd take crayon any day. (She decided it didn't taste very good, BTW.)

My son goes to preschool and he has a tendency to paint himself so much, I often ask the teacher if any of the paint got on the paper. Its usually in his eyebrows, on his ears, neck, elbows- everywhere.
